never really belonged
to anything or so I
thought wrongly when
it was pointed-out to me
Family First Forever then

but more too like
Scottish cultural heritage
minority characteristics
don’t need to be out and
about to know how near

and I like being British
despite some awful history
and some terrible political
decisions taken to bring
us all to task and obey

global citizen too
with desire for equal
human rights for my
children of mixed cultural
heritage and their peers

what we exclude is
identity too and I wish
to exclude hate speech
and casual isms for all
minority groups and me
